Thank You, Asheville! Welcome New Visitors!

Fanaticon was a wonderful show! The people of Asheville turned out in droves for the event, many in costume. I  had the pleasure of meeting a lot of fun and interesting people. The response to Alpha-Sketch continues to make me feel very grateful. The new collages attracted a lot of attention. A couple of them even sold.

If you were one of the 6 or 7 folks who asked about paying with a credit card, send me an e-mail (braddparton at yahoo dot com) with which collage you’re interested in purchasing and I’ll let you know if it’s still available as well as how to arrange payment. As a reminder, all of these collages are hand-made and one-of-a-kind. I might repeat the character in the future, but never the pose and border.

If you’re new to the Alpha-Sketch  site, I run a weekly contest that has daily updates Monday-Friday. Each day I add more letters to a  mystery Alpha-Sketch. If you can correctly guess the character, the first response via e-mail will win your choice of any one pre-existing Alpha-Sketch card to be mailed to you. Letters A-E for Contest #3 will post tomorrow if you’d like to play.

Thanks to my wife Nikki for her invaluable help throughout Saturday (and every day) as well as Richard of Richard’s Comics and Collectables. The only con to setting up at a con (is that a double-negative?) is sitting around and seeing a ton of awesome stuff but not being able to leave the table to check it out, if only for a brief moment. Thanks to these two I was able to pick up a few books. Also, a special shout-out to the mega-talented Dee Belle who stopped by the table. It was great to meet her and her husband. If you’re unfamiliar with Dee’s work and like the horror, check it out.

See you tomorrow for contest #3. It’s one of my favorite cards I’ve drawn in a while.
